Turnkey Energy Programs
Realizing your company's energy and demand reduction goals while fully satisfying customer needs requires a high level of relevant experience.
Experts in all aspects of energy efficiency program design and implementation our technical team has the competence to provide full technical support, technology transfer, customer training, and facility assessments.
Energy companies are looking for well-designed energy efficiency programs to address key issues - supply adequacy, peak demand, T&D constraints, environmental regulations, and reliability concerns - while building solid relationships with their customers. Large energy customers are looking for energy services that not only deliver energy cost savings, but also increase productivity and improve the work environment. Our programs offer comprehensive energy efficiency incentives for end-use customers while increasing awareness within the market segment and helping customers take advantage of the latest technologies to improve operations.
Covering a wide range of industrial segments; agriculture, food processing, chemicals, refineries, and oil and gas industries, Global's experienced staff address the specialized electrical issues of each industry providing:
- Customer out reach and education
- On-site facility assessment
- Comprehensive project support
- Technical assistance
Automated Demand Response is on the rise. And it is no wonder as Auto-DR program costs have proven to be less than 50% that of peak generation resources. As more and more utilities are taking advantage of these programs, they are reducing electrical loads, improving grid reliability and reducing capital investment. Yet not all demand response programs are alike. Careful planning and design combined with exceptional customer service is imperative to achieving high results and satisfied customers.
Global's Automated Demand Response Programs work closely with customers to pre-program their electric load, ensuring their comfort level while allowing reduction strategies that optimize their cost savings and productivity goals. This creates a win-win situation maximizing peak load reduction for the utility while reducing customer energy costs. Global's experienced staff provides:
Development and Assessment
- Implementation Plan Development – technical assistance to identify Auto-DR strategies at no cost to customer
- DR Automation Platform Development –communications equipment and utility program interfaces
- Process and Impact Evaluation – of pilot programs
Deployment and Operations
- Conduct Auto-DR Opportunity Assessment – technical audits and definition of operational strategies
- Technical Coordination – assist customer during the Auto-DR equipment installation and program operations
- Financial Assistance – for installation and enabling of customized Auto-DR systems incentive – based on reduced electricity demand
- Direct Payment to Customer – for participating in the Auto-DR program – based on reduced electricity demand
Comprehensive audits and analyses help utilities promote energy efficiency and customer participation in demand response programs, educating customers on the benefits of efficient energy technology and practices. Global works with clients to provide thorough customer audits, identifying the technology applications that will provide the greatest cost savings, process and productivity improvements, and greenhouse gas reductions.
Working with a wide array of market segments, Global's seasoned staff has performed hundreds of technical site audits. Examples of recent Technology site audits include:
- Schweitzer Mauduit Paper Mill (Central Hudson)
- Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Manufacturing Plant (AEP)
- Specialty Metals Production Plant in Ohio (FirstEnergy)
- Agricultural and Food Processing Facilities (PG&E and SCE)
- Nashville Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants (TVA)
- Review and optimization of energy use in medium-sized wastewater plants (CenterPoint, LIPA)
- Wastewater Treatment Facilities (National Park Service and PG&E)

Global's Automated Demand Response (Auto-DR) is a communication and technology platform designed to:
- Provide customers with automated, electronic price and reliability signals
- Provide customers with the capability to identify and automate site specific demand response strategies
- Transition demand response toward being on the same operational foundation as conventional generation resources
- Auto-DR can support all DR and pricing options
- Auto-DR is not a program but rather a platform for enabling existing and proven technologies

Global Energy Partners (GEP) can help PG&E food and beverage manufacturers save energy and secure cash incentives under this third party incentive Program. The Program is designed to help offset the cost of qualifying measures that will save energy and/or improve the process efficiency.
The Program offers focused assessments, on-site assistance and financial incentives to cost-effectively implement the Program's measures including energy-efficient natural gas and electric equipment. These measures address every major gas and electric end-use in food processing facilities and are technically proven, but often under-utilized by the food processing market.
Market Segments:
This Program is available to all food manufacturing and processing facilities in PG&E's service territory including:
- Bakeries
- Fruit and Vegetable Canning
- Dairy Product Manufacturing
- Dried and Dehydrated Food Manufacturing
- Frozen and Specialty Manufacturing
- Beverage Manufacturing
This Program is comprehensive, meaning that almost every energy efficiency measure is covered. Below is a list of some of the most common measure categories:
- Refrigeration Controls and Optimization
- Lighting Retrofits
- Steam System Upgrades
- Process Optimization
- Heat Recovery
- Pumping Upgrades
