PROGRAM DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION

Turnkey rebate program targeted small to medium size onshore producers to optimize their pumping equipment and reduce electric consumption. Global's team of field specialists helped interested producers reduce their electricity consumption and lower their operation expenses, exceeding project goals.

Result: Energy savings of 15.7 million kWh and 2.1 MW

A prescriptive hardware/incentive program targeted toward small, rural agricultural customers, including organic farmers and food processors. The Global team developed the plan for on-site energy surveys and rebates for energy efficient equipment upgrades - PG&E implementation exceeded project goals.

Result: Energy savings of 4 million kWh and demand reduction of 951 kW.

CEC Peak Load Reduction Program

Design, implementation and evaluation of a demand curtailment program in response to curtailment calls initiated by California's electrical grid authority addressing strategies that reduce power demand attributable to air conditioners, lights, motors and other electrical loads from commercial, manufacturing and state/local government facilities.

Result: Achieved peak load reduction of 66 MW during the two years of operation.

Global implemented a full-scale AutoDR program for PG&E in 2007. Using technology platforms developed by the Demand Response Research Center at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Global staff managed the project from customer recruitment to incentive processing. As a follow-up, Global is working on a 2008 peak load reduction program for the company.

Result: Peak load reduction of approximately 23 MW.
